Final Project

Final Project for Emerging Technologies
For our final in Emerging technologies, we had to make a Prezi, infographic, family tree, interview two family members, and write an e-mail to family members to get information. For my first interview, I interviewed my grandma. Here is the link to my first interview- https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sk8wpR6yqob2CeTH5LP6EXuU26FYtSp1StUnCHiEf04/edit?usp=sharing

For my second interview, I interviewed my uncle. Here is the link to my second interview-https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z-p0QOdi7PPGwWo_Gf9UFKRvR45FBL3J2EwBsPR2H2Y/edit?usp=sharing

For the family tree, we had to make I used Family Echo. Here is the link to my family tree- http://www.familyecho.com/?p=START&c=xsh0l335h7&f=286020562781329333

The infographic I made using Piktochart. Here is my Piktochart-
The e-mail I wrote and sent to my family members I made on Google Drive. Here is the link to my e-mail- https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Oi5pbcQMTOh2BEcEnC_dcHsIhHMUEu4QVwZ8woqFpuw/edit?usp=sharing

Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

The article is telling us that school is not all about the academics. It is about preparing you for the real world. It goes on to say that students matter and teachers are patient for us because we are worth it. The teacher is trying to say that we are worth the effort. He is also telling us that we need to try in school or it will set up failure in our future. The main event to me is learning how to deal with life and its issues.

Answer the following questions thoroughly on your blog.
  1. What was your stop motion animation about? Why did you choose your video to be about this? Was it because it was easy because it would be fun, or it would be challenging? Explain your reasoning behind your project (and be honest).
  2. If you could rate your stop motion on a 1-10 scale. 1 being low effort and no very good and 10 being out of this world/mindblowing, how would you rate your project? Explain why.
  3. In hindsight, what would you do differently the second time around? Better lighting? Time management? Explain yourself.
  4. Explain what makes your stop motion animation unique. How do you believe you thought "outside of the box" on this project?
  5. What grade do you feel you deserve on this project? Explain your reasoning.
When you have done a really thorough job of answering these questions on your blog, you may have a study hall the rest of the hour. This blog post is worth 3 times as many as the others. Make it count!

My stop motion animation was about Tetris. I made the video with gummy bears and reenacted a game of Tetris. I had no reason as to why I chose this, but I thought it would look cool. I thought it would be fun to create a stop motion video with gummy bears. I could also eat gummy bears as I went along. I would give my project an eight for effort. It took me about two hours to finish it and I skipped basketball practice so I could have it done. I think it tells a simple story well. The second time around I would change lots of things. I would make sure my feet were out of every picture I took. I would also try to keep my camera angles more consistent. I believe I made it unique by changing the title scene and credits to look cool. I also don't think anybody made their stop motion with gummy bears. I believe I deserve an A for this project because I put a lot of time and effort into this project. I also made it with gummy bears and that is unique. The music matches the mood and the camera angle is pretty good throughout.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend. Go.

This weekend was a good, relaxing time. Friday night, I just hung out with some friends. On Saturday, I relaxed the whole day and did some chores around the house. On Sunday, I woke up early and went to church. After that, we went out to eat. Monday I had basketball practice. This is where my interesting story occurred. We were scrimmaging the juniors, and one of our players was dunked on. Everyone went crazy and the game was postponed for a little bit. It was a good weekend and a much-needed weekend.

Tell me ALL about what your idea is for your stop-motion animation. I need detail. Who is going to help you take photos? What props do you need? Where do you plan on shooting? EXPLAIN everything.

My idea involves gummy bears. The gummy bears will try to do gymnastic things and then they will fall. Then an ambulance will come (it is a gummy worm) and then they go to the hospital. I don't know exactly what is going to happen at the hospital, but it will be something interesting. The only props I need are gummy bears, gummy worms, my phone, and maybe some things for the hospital. I will be doing all the picture-taking myself. I am not sure yet where I am going to shoot the photos, but it will probably be at my house or school.

Tell me all about your weekend and please share photos!

This weekend was a good weekend. On Saturday, I went to JCC for an open gym and played basketball for most of the day. Sunday was Easter Sunday and I went to the 7 o'clock service for church. We then went up to my grandparents to celebrate easter. We ate a large meal then came home to do my homework, which I stayed up till 11 to do.
